Rev. Cartwright and his mission group Greg and his own family love New Orleans, having lived here for years before being called to Greenville, TN. He is here for two weeks leading a mission group from FPC Greenville. They are lodging here at FPCNO while working on projects around the church as well as working with other charitable organizations around New Orleans.  Make sure to greet and welcome them to our wonderful city.

Come join parents and volunteers from FPCNO, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Broadmoor Improvement Association at a Wine and Cheese party for parents and interested volunteers at the Broadmoor Arts and Wellness Center (3900 General Taylor St). Senior District Executive, Mr. Yoni Sunshine, will share ways that this cooperative effort will offer boys (and GIRLS too, under a new pilot program)  can change lives for the better, engage our youth in the riches of Louisiana’s outdoor culture and teach skills and virtues that will last our kids' whole life long. This is also an opportunity for adults, whether you are parents or not, to make positive and meaningful differences in young lives—and in your own! Come and discover all the fun that is Cub Scouting!!

 Announcing the 7th Annual Bite The Tail Off Homelessness Charity Crawfish Boil - Benefitting Program of Hope Homeless Ministry                        Lakeview Presbyterian Church, Canal Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124

This annual event held each year at Lakeview Presbyterian church helps to support the mission work of Program of Hope homeless ministry located at First Presbyterian Church on Claiborne Avenue and promises to be a day filled with food, music and fun! Each week, Program of Hope serves both the spiritual and physical needs of between 80-100 homeless men, women, and children in a welcoming and nurturing environment.  Funding shelter nights and help providing public transportation are two of the many services that are offered at Program of Hope and to which we have dedicated the funds of this annual event. Our goal this year, is the same as in years past, to receive enough donations/sponsors to cover the cost of the event so that all proceeds for ticket sales go directly to purchasing vouchers. Your continued support and participation is vital to make this event a success and makes a meaningful impact on this vital mission and shares the love of Christ to the lives of the homeless community that it serves.  To make a donation or to volunteer for this event, please call Jeff Craig at 504-352-6190. Advance tickets are available (Adult $15 / Children $8) by calling the Lakeview Presbyterian church office at 504-408-7892 or contact Jeff Craig at 504-352-6190.
