Thank you to Justin Wood for being the guest speaker this past Sunday. What a wonderful sermon about the Good Samaritan and a timely scripture for all Christians following the common lectionary.
Justin urged us to remember that being a Good Samaritan goes beyond supporting Black Lives Matter, Syrian refugees, and all social justice causes. We also need to think about those perhaps flying below the radar of the media and common culture; for example, the passed out gutter punk in the French Quarter. Do you stop to offer assistance or just walk on by? Thank you again, Justin for making us think. You have a gift!
