Thanks to the team who assembled our Christmas Tree on Saturday. It is ready for the Lessons and Carols Service on December 14 when we will decorate it with Christmon ornaments and collaboratively decorate the rest of the sanctuary with garlands and greenery. Al of this while we will hear the story of Jesus in 6 short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books, and Gospels, interspersed with singing of carols, hymns & choir music.
The Christmon ornaments were sewn, hand beaded, and sequined by the ladies of the church years ago. They are a beautiful reminder of our history and the way we can combine religious traditions with popular culture.
