Worship Bulletin April 10, 2016, Easter Sunday - Sermon "Who ARE You, Lord?" Rev. Fred J. Powell

ANNOUNCEMENTS

About the Affirmation for this Sunday, April 10, 2016

The Confession of 1993, (Presbyterian Church of New Zealand) - This affirmation of faith speaks in ‘triads’ that reflect our trinitarian theology. While the Presbyterian Church was established in New Zealand in 1840, since then it has moved from being a Church for white, Scottish settlers to an ethnically diverse Church that integrates orthodoxy with a respect for the gifts of South Pacific culture and reverence for creation which is very much a part of “Aotearoa”  (The native Maori name for New Zealand.) This affirmation of faith seeks not only to answer the question “Who ARE You, Lord?”, but to tie together the work of God-with-us, and identify the gifts that God gives us through faith.
