ANNOUNCEMENTS

Children’s Sunday School begins at 10:15am – 11:00am every Sunday

A reception will immediately follow worship service this Sunday, May 28 for Rev. Fred Powell, III and Frank Peralta in the back of the church. Stay and wish both of them well on their new venture.

  • MONDAY – May 30th, Memorial Day (Church Office CLOSED).
  • FRIDAY – SUNDAY- June 3rd – June 5th, Bethesda Church conference will be held at FPC. Pastor Jibo will occupy room 207 on Friday, June 3rd from 6pm- 10pm;  and the Fellowship Hall on Sat., June 4th from 10am – 9pm and Sunday, June 5th from 9am – 3pm.
  • TUESDAY – June 7th, Presbytery meeting at Chinese Presbyterian Church, 2901 W. Esplanade Avenue. (First Presbyterian Church clerk of session or member of the session are wisely asked to attend).
  • THURSDAY – June 9th, 6:00pm Our Cub Scout Pack (with a twist!) is forming! Join parents and volunteers from FPCNO, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Broadmoor Improvement Association at a Wine and Cheese party for parents and interested volunteers at the Broadmoor Arts and Wellness Center (3900 General Taylor St). Our Senior District Executive,  Mr. Yoni Sunshine, will share ways that this cooperative effort will offer boys (and GIRLS too, under a new pilot program)  can change lives for the better, engage our youth in the riches of Louisiana’s outdoor culture and teach skills and virtues that will last our kids' whole life long.
  • SUNDAY – June 12th, Communion Sunday. Following worship service.  A “Baby Shower” for Candice Bellau and Kelly Mallary  will be held in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend.
  • MONDAY – June 13th, 7:00pm – 10:00pm Square Dance.
  • THURSDAY – June 16th, 6:30pm – 8:30pm Public Community Listening Session Regarding Youth Transfer Policies. This meeting will be held in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church. This event is free to the public.
  • MON.-FRI. June 20th - 27th, South Dakota Mission Group residing at FPC for mission work around the city.
  • SAT.-FRI. June 25th – July 4th, Greenville, Tn. Mission Group residing at FPC for mission work around the city.  They are willing to do any sprucing up of the building if needed and will supply all material.

What’s happening at First Presbyterian Church?  Weekly Schedule

Sunday                          9:30 am         Adult Bible Study in the Session Room.

                10:15 am – 11:00 am        Children’s Sunday School in room 207.

                                      11:00 am        Sunday Worship.

Wednesday                  9:00 am         Program of Hope (worship, with and outreach to the less fortunate in our neighborhood, all are welcome to volunteer  or seek help!) in the Sanctuary.

Thursday                      6:00 pm         Evening Prayer and Anointing in Room 207 located on the second floor.
