          ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Fleur de Lys Chamber Orchestra “Fall Concert” will be here at First Presbyterian Church on November 12 at 7:30pm – the concert is free to the public. Founded in the fall of 2012, the Fleur De Lys Chamber Orchestra is excited to bring a wide variety of string orchestra music to New Orleans' audiences. The group includes students and graduates of musical performance from Loyola, music teachers, and people who have talents in other areas, such as medicine, art, education, and law, just to name a few. The group is proud to play under the direction of Francis Scully, a highly regarded local conductor and string player, who greatly inspires through his musicality and professionalism.
  • F.P.C.N.O Rest and Recreation Sunday, November 15, at 11 am!  Buff and Edith Slaton from Feliciana Retreat Center will be our special speakers next Sunday, as we close out the 2015 church year (Yes, Advent is almost here) with a Sunday devoted to God’s rest . Wear casual clothes and prepare for a fun worship service! Feliciana Retreat Center is our Presbyterian camp and conference center in South Louisiana.

  • White Elephant Sale - Do you have pieces of bric-à-brac, linens or items that are just taking up space? Turn them into funding for the Program of Hope homelessness outreach! Bring them to the church by Friday, November 20th and we will put them on the White Elephant Sale at John Calvin Church on Saturday, November 21st from 9 am to 1 pm. Additionally, if you have LOTS to sell, you can rent a booth for $10…all of the table rentals will go to the Program of Hope.
  • The New Orleans Historic Organ Society will be holding a free concert tailored to our wonderful 1916 Austin Organ. The concert will be the Sunday Afternoon before Thanksgiving (November 22, 2015) at 3 pm in FPCNO sanctuary; please bring friends and family to hear the blow out performances by many of the top church musicians in New Orleans!
  • Interfaith Uptown Thanksgiving Service - All of the churches uptown will be gathering for the Annual Thanksgiving service on Monday evening, November 23 at 7 pm at St George's Episcopal Church at 4600 St Charles Ave. Choir members are encouraged to come to the 6.15 mass choir rehearsal.

Children’s Sunday School – will be held on Nov. 8th and 22nd, then Dec 6th and 20th from 10:15am – 11:am.

  • Fleur de Lys Chamber Orchestra “FALL CONCERT” – Tuesday,November 12, 7:30pm, here at First Presbyterian Church. Concert is free. and open to the public. pianist, Hani Nakhoul; conductor, Yotam Haber. Suggested donation $20.00.
  • Session meeting – Tuesday, November 17, 6:30pm.
  • New Orleans Organ Historical Society Concert – Thursday, November 22, 3:00pm.  at First Presbyterian Church.
