Wedding FAQ

  • Do you have an example of a typical wedding service? Sure, click here.
  • Where can I find some pictures of previous weddings at your church? Check out our Facebook wedding's page.
  • What are the Parking guidelines?
  • Is your wedding date available? View Current Schedule of Weddings
  • What are the church's wedding fees? The wedding date is not reserved until a check for $500 is given to the church office. Payment of fees is in advance and the church will pay the individuals involved (minister and coordinator). Music arrangements are outside this fee structure.

The fee for a wedding at First Presbyterian Church is :

Wedding & rehearsal (includes pastor fee)  $2000
Wedding, same as above but with your own minister  $1700

Fellowship Hall rental as a wedding reception venue $1500 + $300 refundable damage deposit (Damage deposit may be refunded after inspection following the reception. Rental includes the use of our commercial kitchen on day of reception, use of grand piano, 8 rectangular tables and up to 60 chairs--does not include janitorial fee, sound system, catering/food, alcohol, extra tables/table cloths, place settings/glassware, or decorations).

Fee for existing church members are negotiable.

Other situations may dictate other fees that may be more or less than those indicated above.

  • Who do I contact for more information? How do I hold my wedding date?  For scheduling your wedding, please complete the online Wedding Application. Feel free to email the Church Wedding Coordinator, Sue Young, at or call her at 504-891-6136 if you have any questions.
  • Is there a wedding contract that I need to complete?  We require that you print and mail the Wedding Form to the church for documentation. Follow the link to the online forms, then print and mail with your deposit check or drop it off at the church office during normal business hours.
  • Are there additional documents?  Sue will be working with you as you plan and conduct your wedding.  A Rehearsal Worksheet will need to be completed and returned to her prior to the rehearsal.
