Come join FPC this Sunday, December 10 at 11am for Lessons and Carols service and The greening of the sanctuary.

PASTOR KIM AROUND TOWN

One of my commitments in my weekly work schedule is to have some set hours at a place outside the church building. Sometimes people are more comfortable talking with a pastor outside of the walls of a church. It may be a time for you to drop by or to bring a friend to visit. You don't have to have a particular need to stop by, but it is fine if you do.  It’s a time for conversation on anything from personal matters to church concerns to world peace – or anything else.

Pastor Kim’s walk, coffee & beer hours:

  • Monday, December 11th ,   5:30pm          meet behind the church on S. Prieur St.
  • Tuesday, December 12th,   7 -9am          French Truck Coffee, 4536 Dryades Street
  • Wednesday, December 13th, 5-7pm        Oak (8118 Oak Street)

I will be at the church on Wednesday afternoons from 2-4 for anyone who wants to drop by. I'm glad to meet with you at another time, either at the church or someone else. Just call 504-866-7409 or email me at kim@fpcno.org to set up a time.

This Sunday, Dec. 10, 5pm-7pm - Annual Christmas Caroling (meet at FPC and we will group together and go caroling in the neighborhood. Christmas party will follow at the Helms-Capasso’s home. Please bring something to share.

Order Your Christmas Poinsettias! - Please place your orders for Christmas poinsettias today using the envelope enclosed in the bulletin! The deadline is by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 13th and the poinsettias will be available for pick up on Christmas Eve after the Candlelight service. On the form, please let us know who your poinsettia is in honor of (if the person is alive) or in memory of (if the person is deceased).

When you do your activity for the day, remember that others from your church are engaged in the same practice that day. So tomorrow, everyone will be praying for hope.
