Bed rest

Dear Church,
I am sad to tell you that I have been put on total voice rest by the voice specialist at Ochsner. No speaking at all. I got to see my swollen vocal cords on a big screen TV today. Technology is amazing, but this is just terribly frustrating. Along with rest, I've been put on a new medication that the doctor thinks will help. I sure hope so.
A big thank you to Lynn Hyder, who will be preaching on Sunday; to Ann Philbrick, who preached for me last Sunday; and to May Ball, who is coordinating these issues while I am speechless. I look forward to seeing y'all on Sunday, where I will be sporting my gift from Ochsner -- a pin that reads, "I'm not being rude. I'm on voice rest."
Speaking of this weekend, I hope that you will be here for the Agape dinner and conversation Saturday night. You will get to speak with others from the church about things that are important to you, and to do it all while breaking bread with others you care about. The invitation is below. The dinner is potluck. Thanks to Dee Boling, Kelly Mallary, and Enjoli Mallary for their good work on this event.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Kim
