A word from Pastor Kim

Please note that I now have a church email address. You can reach me at: kim@fpcno.org

COFFEE HOUSE HOURS AROUND TOWN

One of my commitments in my weekly work schedule is to have some “office hours” at a place outside the church building. Sometimes people are more comfortable talking with a pastor outside of the walls of a church. It may be a time for you to drop by or to bring a friend to visit. You don't have to have a particular need to stop by, but it is fine if you do.  It’s a time for conversation on anything from personal matters to church concerns to world peace – or anything else.

Pastor Kim’s coffee hours:

  • Tuesday, July 25 – 7-9am                       Rue De La Course (S. Carrollton & Oak St.)
  • Wednesday, July 26 – 2-4pm                First Presbyterian Church
  • Thursday, July 27 – 9-11am                   Morning Call at City Park

It is also a good way for me to meet people who aren't already in the church and a way to pay attention to what is going on in the community around us. For example, I have noticed that New Orleans is not an early morning city, even on a workday . When I do this, I am your face in the community, always open to where connections may be made between the congregation and the community around us.

Program of Hope setup will be Tuesday evening and/or early Wednesday morning of  this week
