Worship - October 15, 2017 - Hymn Sing Service

We will welcome Jeff Moles to our worship service Sunday, Oct. 15 and thank him for his leadership in our music. Jeff is a friend of Rev. Kim Rodrigue's from Nashville, where they served a church together as pastor and music director. In addition to being an awesome church musician, Jeff serves as the Community Development Coordinator at Room in the Inn, a comprehensive ministry with homeless persons that engages people from 190 churches in Middle Tennessee and over 6,500 volunteers.

PASTOR KIM AROUND TOWN

One of my commitments in my weekly work schedule is to have some set hours at a place outside the church building. Sometimes people are more comfortable talking with a pastor outside of the walls of a church. It may be a time for you to drop by or to bring a friend to visit. You don't have to have a particular need to stop by, but it is fine if you do.  It’s a time for conversation on anything from personal matters to church concerns to world peace – or anything else.

I am adding a weekly walk to the schedule. If you’d like to walk & talk be at the lake at Audubon Park, St. Charles Ave. side at 5:30pm Monday. This will be a group walk for whoever shows up.

I get to meet people who aren't already in the church, but who may have interest in issues of spirituality and meaning. I will be your face in the community when I do this. You can join me for a walk Monday afternoon, coffee Tuesday mornings, or drinks this Wednesday evening.

Pastor Kim’s walk, coffee & beer hours:

  • Monday, October 16th, 5:30pm - Audubon Park - by the lake on St. Charles Ave.  side.
  • Tuesday, October  17th, 7 -9am  - Morning Call (City Park)
  • Wednesday, October 18th,  5-7pm - Oak (8118 Oak Street)

I will be at the church on Wednesday afternoons from 2-4 for anyone who wants to drop by. I'm glad to meet with you at another time, either at the church or someone else. Just call 504-866-7409 or email me at kim@fpcno.org to set up a time.
