This year we are preparing for the Christ child by adding pieces of straw to the manger. Each piece of straw represents an act of kindness or a blessing, given or received.
Have you given or received a blessing this week? Come to worship on Sunday or to the Program of Hope on Wednesday and add a piece or two of straw.
By Christmas Eve, we will have prepared the bed for Baby Jesus with straw symbolizing acts of love and kindness.
