Join us this Sunday for a special joint service of First Presbyterian and our friends in Christ, the Metropolitan Community Church of New Orleans. This LGBT-affirmative congregation is led by Pastor Alisan Rowland, and is a part of a congregationally-led denomination founded in 1968 to proclaim God's love to those who had previously been denied a place in Christ's church, namely the LGBT community.
We are very happy to welcome them as we share many core beliefs. The MCC has been using our Fellowship hall as their main worship space for Sunday monrings for 2 years, and we are excited to welcome them into the Sanctuary this Sunday. Pastor Alisan Rowland will deliver the message, “Not Even the Grinch Can Steal Your Christmas: Giving Up Your Inner Grinch.”
