Please join us on Sunday, September 3 for the commissioning of Rev. Kimberly Rodrigue, pictured here after preaching her first Sunday service with us.
The afternoon commissioning service will be led by Rev. Jan Edmiston, co-moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) who will be traveling to New Orleans from Chicago, IL, for this occasion. Also in attendance will be Trice Gibbons, prevously of Metairie Ridge Presbyterian, currently a member at Second Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN.
The youth of the church will hold a public showing of the film The Shack (PG-13) on August 12, 2017. The event will be held in the Fellowship Hall (second flood, to the right) at 5:00pm, with a suggested donation of $3 per person.
Childcare for children 12 and under will also be provided for $2 per child.
Concessions will be available.

New Location for today: Oak Wine Bar who also serves beer, and cocktails ranging from Bud Light to fancy drinks such as the Pink Ponchatoula , small plates, (chocolate cake!), and the best thing of all great conversation with Pastor Kim.
New weekly off-site coffee shop office hours: Tuesdays from 7am to 9am and Thursdays from 9am to 11am, for conversation on anything from personal matters to church concerns to world peace – or anything else.
Sometimes people are more comfortable talking with a pastor outside of the walls of a church. This is your time to drop by or to bring a friend to visit. You don't have to have a particular need to stop by, but it is fine if you do.

Congratulations to De'antra and Anthony! It was an extra special occasion FPC because the mother of the bride was our long time office manager and church family member Cheryl Roberts. We were so happy to be part of this celebration, and we can't wait to share a few more photos when the professional photographer has them ready. We love you Cheryl and the whole family! Best Wishes to the happy couple for many happy years together.

The members of First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans will be celebrating more than Independence Day on the first Sunday in July. After nearly a year without full-time pastoral leadership, the church will welcome Rev. Kimberly Rodrique to the pulpit when she leads service on July 2nd at 11:00am.
